About us
Code Khalaq is a Lahore-based software agency building web applications and backend systems for international clients across the US, UK, EU, and Gulf markets, with strong experience in healthcare and medical platforms. We also deliver AI/LLM integrations where they add real value. We are expanding our business development function to grow our global client base.

The role
You will own the client acquisition pipeline end to end: finding opportunities, writing winning proposals, handling first client conversations, and closing deals. Your primary channels will be Upwork (bidding on behalf of our agency as a Business Manager through your own account) and LinkedIn outbound.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and bid on relevant Upwork jobs daily (web applications, backend systems, APIs, healthcare platforms, AI/LLM integrations)
- Write tailored, high-conversion proposals
- Run LinkedIn outbound campaigns targeting founders, CTOs, and product leads, with focus on healthtech and SaaS companies
- Handle discovery calls and initial client communication up to technical handover
- Scope projects with the engineering team and prepare estimates
- Maintain the pipeline in a CRM and track proposals, response rates, and closures
- Report weekly on pipeline health and conversion metrics

Requirements

- 2+ years of proven business development experience for a software agency or software house
- Demonstrable Upwork track record: profiles you have worked on, jobs won, and sample proposals will be reviewed in the interview
- Your own Upwork account in good standing (required to operate as agency Business Manager)
- Excellent written English; shortlisted candidates will complete a live proposal writing exercise
- Working understanding of web development concepts (frontend/backend, APIs, databases, hosting) and basic awareness of AI/LLM services
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM tools
- Comfortable with US/EU client timezones for calls when needed

Nice to have
- Experience selling web or software services to healthcare, medical, or healthtech clients
- Understanding of healthcare compliance basics (HIPAA, patient data privacy) from a sales conversation perspective
- Cold email tooling experience (Apollo, Instantly, or similar)
- Existing client network in US, UK, or Gulf markets
